Once they open up the envelope, the invitation slowly unfolds, disclosing important information as the recipient takes the time to explore the invite. When completely unfolded, the invitation reveals a 3ft Empire State Building. A pocket contains a RSVP response card, free drink coupon and parking voucher.

Geometric shapes and typography reference the art Nouveau movement in NYC while rich oranges, greens and blues are reminiscent of a regal rainforest. Animals interact with New York and the Gala scene throughout the invitation and its collateral, while patterns and motifs are used to add visual interest to the quieter parts of the project.
